Description

Uramado is a Showa era SM magazine created by Toshiyuki Suma and later edited by Chimuo Nureki. Uramado featured illustrated stories, articles on sexuality, and photo galleries (both SM and vanilla). After January 1965, Uramado changes to Suspense Magazine.

History

1956: Uramado founded by Toshiyuki Suma.

1962: Chimuo Nureki becomes editor-in-chief.

1965: Uramado's final issue is published in January.

1965: Uramado ceases publication after January issue. Suspense Magazine is established.


Interesting points

Uramado started under the name "Kappa" in January 1956, and changed to Uramado in October.

Uramado proclaimed itself "Japan's most remarkable S-M magazine."
